Reading Job Applications
Who can use it
Reading applications is a separate permission from posting jobs, and Paul gives it to named people only. If you have it, an Applications button appears in the bar along the top of every staff page. Anyone else who opens the page sees a message saying their account does not have access.
Opening an application
The quickest way in is the email that arrives at [email protected]. Click the link beside Resume: and that application opens. If you are not signed in, the site asks you to sign in first and then takes you straight to it.
You can also click Applications in the bar along the top. The newest applications are at the top. Choose a posting under Job to see only its applications, or type part of a name or email address, then click Show applications. Click View to open one.
What you see
The applicant's name, the job they applied for, when it arrived, their email address, their phone number and their cover letter. Clicking the email address starts a new message to them.
Open the resume (PDF) opens the resume in a new tab. A resume sent as a Word file downloads instead. Nothing on this page can be changed or deleted, so you cannot lose an application by clicking the wrong thing.
New and Opened
New means nobody has opened the application yet. Opened means someone with access has looked at it, and that includes Paul. It tells you what still needs a first look. It says nothing about whether anyone has replied to the applicant.
Keeping applicants' details private
Applications hold personal details: phone numbers, email addresses and work history. Only share a resume with someone who is helping to hire for that job, and keep the notification emails inside CCAH.
When someone with access leaves CCAH, tell Paul, so the access is removed along with the account.
