“Debwewin” is one of the seven Anishinabek Grandfather Teachings and refers to “truth.” Debwewin: The Oakville Truth Project (@debwewinoakville) raises questions about Oakville’s Truth and invites the community to further our shared understanding of Oakville's Indigenous past and support local Truth and Reconciliation. Congratulations to Jocelyn and Izabelle who were award $1,000 each as part of CCAH's annual scholarship program. ⁠

Both students have been involved with CCAH since they were 7 or 8 years old. Jocelyn has been supporting the CCAH steelpan program and has played many events over the years. Izabelle has been onsite at numerous events as well. This past summer, both were camp counsellors at the CCAH Day Camp and are starting post-secondary studies this September. ⁠
